ULM IAC Annual Awards

Each spring, the ULM Industry Advisory Council (IAC) recognizes outstanding alumni, industry partners, and students for their contributions to the School of Construction Management, the construction industry, and their communities.

These awards celebrate individuals who embody the mission of the SOCM — to lead, innovate, and elevate the future of construction.

Distinguished Alumni of the Year

Recognizes an alumnus who has:

• Provided significant value to the SOCM through professional involvement, mentorship, advocacy, or financial support

• Made a lasting impact on the construction industry

Designed to honor rising leaders who have:

• Demonstrated exceptional career achievements since graduation

• Displayed passion for advancing the construction industry

• Actively participated in professional or industry organizations

Minority Alumni of the Year

Honors minority alumni — including Asian Indian, Asian Pacific, Black, Hispanic, or Native American individuals — who have:

• Demonstrated recognized professional excellence

Female Alumni of the Year

Recognizes women alumni who have:

• Achieved excellence in their construction careers

• Built unique or impactful construction projects

Nomination Requirements

All nominees must:

• Be graduates of the ULM School of Construction Management (for alumni awards)

• Not be currently employed by ULM

• Provide a résumé / CV for committee review
